About — The operator

We build nights out of music and art

JETLAG is an independent events company from Munich. We run three to four events a year — courtyard, hall, open air, warehouse — each one built as one continuous night rather than a schedule of slots. On the bill: club culture, contemporary art, and the people who make both.

We book selectors from all over the world, and we hand our stages, walls and merchandise to emerging artists — through open calls, competitions and commissions, together with the cultural associations that keep this scene alive. Every stage is a commissioned artwork, and every weekend has three days: a free gallery on Friday, the JETLAG event on Saturday, classical concerts on Sunday — same site, same art.

[OPS-01] Events Three to four events a year, each named after its venue. Every event is one continuous night from doors to sunrise — not a timetable of slots.
[OPS-02] Booking We book DJs from the world's most demanding scenes — Detroit to Tbilisi via Berlin — and pair them with residents from Munich. Booked for the whole night, never just a slot.
[OPS-03] Art Every event carries art: commissioned installations, light works and stage builds that turn a courtyard, a hall or an airfield into somewhere else entirely.
[OPS-04] Open calls Open calls and competitions hand our stages, installations and merchandise to emerging artists. Win the call and we produce your work — on the field, in the hall, or in the shop.
[OPS-05] The art weekend One build, three days. Friday the grounds open as a free gallery — sculptures, installations, the commissioned stage. Saturday the JETLAG event happens between the artworks. Sunday, classical concerts play among the same works.
The art weekend

Three days, one site

We build once and open three times: the same commissioned artworks carry a free gallery day, the JETLAG event and a classical afternoon. The exhibition never closes — the audience changes around it.

Open calls & competitions

Your work, our stages

We don't only book finished acts — we build platforms. Several times a year we open calls for stage design, art installations, poster series and merch capsules. Winning entries are produced at our cost and shown at the next event, with the artist credited. Rights stay with the artist.

Partners & support

We don't do this alone

Culture doesn't happen alone. We work with non-profit associations and cultural institutions — sharing infrastructure, funding applications and know-how so independent art has a place at every event. A share of every ticket goes into commissioned art.

FAQ

An independent operator of club nights and open airs — three to four events a year, each named after its venue: Innenhof, Halle, Open Air, Warehouse. One team, one idea, changing grounds.

Three days on the same site, around the same artworks. Friday the site opens as a free gallery — walk in, look, leave whenever. Saturday is the JETLAG event, dancing between the sculptures. Sunday closes with classical concerts among the same works. Each day is its own ticket; Friday is free.

Send a mix, not a press kit — booking@jetlag-festival.com. We listen to everything, sometimes weeks later, always completely.

Each call has a short brief, a deadline and a jury drawn from our team and partner associations. Winning entries are produced at our cost and shown at the next event — stage, installation or shop. Rights stay with the artist.

That's the idea. If you support culture — through funding, spaces or education — write to partners@jetlag-festival.com and we'll find the right fit.

Because the best nights are the ones you don't overplan. Every artist is confirmed and contracted; names are unsealed one by one, starting the week of each event.

The clock your body still runs on when the local time has moved on without it. Ours is set six hours ahead. By sunrise, both clocks agree again.
